BopSwap has been running for more than a year now!

December brings Push Notifications!

BopSwap now supports Web Push Notifications. To enable push notifications, visit your user preferences page and press the "Enable Notifications" button. You will need to grant BopSwap notification permissions.

For iOS devices you will need to first add BopSwap to your home screen: press the Share button, then tap the “Add to Home Screen” option. This will install BopSwap as a Progressive Web Application, which is required for Web Push to work on Safari. After you have added BopSwap to your home screen, launch the app and you will be able to enable notifications inside the app version of BopSwap.

Push notifications are delivered when:

• New music is shared in a group you are a member of.
• A new comment is posted in a group you are a member of.

Minor UX Improvements

• Comment threads are now collapsible, and automatically collapsed if they are long.
• You can now delete shared music you have posted.
• The group page is now paginated.

In addition to push notifications, we've also fixed bugs, upgraded dependencies, and improved our automated testing/verification for the website. Hopefully these investments will make it easier to get more features launched in the future.
